Bill on the rocks / Aint no big surprise

(If you know what song the lyrics from the title are from, bonus points to you.)**

This one's great - it's Bill O'Lielly going up against Rocky Anderson, the mayor of Salt Lake City.

Score this one a draw, at worst, but I'd give this one to Anderson. Rare is the day that Billy doesn't get the best of a guest on his show, but this was one of those days.

There are so many good quotes from this video clip, I'd be here all night riffing on what I love about this footage. You just have to watch the tape.

This is standard fare from the far right - if you disagree with Bush, or if you dare suggest impeach him, you "hate America" or you are "subverting Democracy."

Sounds like McCarthyism to me.

Funny how I never heard a clarion call to paint the GOP with that stupid label in the late 1990s. The reason why, in my opinion - most didn't truly believe Republicans hated America - they just hated the fact that Clinton was unbeatable, and that a vast majority of people loved him (and continue to do so), unlike President Bush.

** - From Neil Diamond's Love on the Rocks
(Yes, I just worked Neil Diamond into a post - this is not a typo.)
