War in Iraq turns 4

Today the War in Iraq turns four years old - it passed the length of World War II months ago. The worst part about this war, when compared to WW II, is that there's no end in sight to this one.

Speaking of World War II, I never cease to get a kick out of the many neocons who pathetically try to draw analogies between the Iraq War and WW II. Sure, we were attacked at Pearl Harbor, and we were attacked on 9-11. I'd have this chiseled into granite and shipped to Congress if I were wealthy: 9-11 had nothing, Nothing, to do with Iraq, your idiotic sheep! Yet, because Repubes continue to repeat this falsehood over and over and over, including Bush and Cheney, 1/3 of Americans continue to believe that 9-11 and the War in Iraq are linked. They are not.

Anyway, enough partisan invective. Today's a day to reflect on the 3,200+ brave Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice in this war.

If we're feeling up to it, we're going to a peace vigil in Philadelphia tonight after work.

Bush and Cheney have more blood on their hands than Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and that's the ugly truth.

Rest in peace, 3,200+ soldiers. We owe you and yours a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.
