Bill stumps for Hillary
This is an excellent ad. It's Bill Clinton, speaking on behalf of Hillary. Okay, no big surprise there, but it really resonates with me.
The fact that if Hillary gets elected, former President Clinton will again be in the White House is a GOOD thing. In 1992, there was the underlying implication that if Bill Clinton was elected president, that Hillary was going to be a "shadow president" of sorts.
Well, in '08, the opposite is true - if Hillary is elected, Bill Clinton will be a "shadow president" of sorts. Anyone have a problem with that? Not according to just about every poll available. In fact, if Bill Clinton could run today, he'd kick just about everyone's rear end in the field, on both sides.
We all know that if Hillary is elected, we're getting a team. I believe it would be an excellent thing to have Bill back in the White House, advising and counseling his wife on political matters.
I'm not completely sold on Hillary in the Democratic Primary, and I probably won't make up my mind for quite some time yet, but in the general election, I'll vote for her in a nanosecond against anyone on the GOP side who is currently running for the nomination.
I'm proud to say that the first two times I was eligible to vote in a presidential election, my votes were for Bill Clinton. People underestimated him in 1991 and early 1992, just like Hillary is being underestimated now.
We've got a long way to go, but I would not be at all surprised to see Hillary get the Democratic Nomination. If she does, I just hope she can win over enough moderates to capture the White House.
