Bush outdoes himself

Before he returned from Europe today, President Bush was asked about the Senate's no confidence vote (more on that in a minute) on embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, and I find his quote simply breathtaking:

I find it interesting. You know, I guess it reflects the political atmosphere in Washington. And they can try to have their votes, of no confidence but it's not going to determine, make the determination, of who serves in my government. [Emphasis mine.]

MY GOVERNMENT?

Freudian slip much?

Mr. President, it's as much your government as it is my government.

Get real.
