Larry King whines about Anderson Cooper

I got a kick out of this one - it's raw footage from CNN's coverage of the presidential debates. Larry King is apparently miffed that Anderson Cooper is getting more air time than he is, and he wants to know why.

Here's a thought - probably because he's not nearly as disturbing to look at, listen to, and he asks real questions of his guests. Just a few reasons off the top of my head.

I routinely TiVo Larry King Live, but more often than not, when I find out who the guest is about 30 seconds in, I delete the full hour. I realize every night isn't going to be some serious political figure, world statesman or noted author, but King seems to be trying too hard some days. Some weeks it will be all pop culture stars.

I'll never forget the day that Anna Nicole Smith died (Did I just bring her name up?!?) - King had on two D-List celebrities who claimed to be close to Anna. One was Chyna, and I don't remember who the other one was. But, the two ended up getting into a fight over whether Anna considered Chyna a friend.

Ahh, journalistic high points, eh, Larry?
