Servin' sweets in the streets
Now THIS is the way to spend Halloween, everyone! We live on the third floor of our building, so we brought down about $40 worth of candy, a few bottles of champagne and some lawn chairs and gave out lots and lots of candy. Our "King & Queen of Hearts" costumes were a hit with kids and parents alike. There were lots of people out last night trick or treatin', and it was nice. What a wonderful, gorgeous day & evening it was in Philly yesterday - perfect weather for handing out candy and enjoying the neighborhood.
I'm gonna miss the warm weather. *Sigh* Fall is definitely here - November's arrived, which typically means the cold, nasty winter isn't too far off. How many months until Memorial Day again? At least I have hockey and football to hold me over, & photography, of course.
All told, we gave out candy to over 100 kids, and we didn't come out until about 7:15 or so, when the kids were already out in full force.
Too bad we have many bags leftover. :o) I have to start running again (or walking, depending on my cranky knees).
At least I have six months until I wear a bathing suit again.
