Fire the proofreaders
Two very public signs, two very public spelling mistakes, although I'd cut the person responsible at NASA just a little tiny bit of slack, since the space administration, when Endeavour was built, chose the traditional English spelling "endeavour," instead of the American version "endeavor."The orbiter is named after HM Bark Endeavour, the ship commanded by 18th century explorer James Cook. The orbiter also honors Endeavour, the Command Module of Apollo 15. This is why the name is spelled in the British English manner, rather than the American English spelling of "Endeavor."
I wonder if the same person who chose a Celine Dion song for Clinton's presidential campaign spelled out the sign above. Whoever the responsible people are, they should be fired, especially for the Dion decision. (Just kidding, sort of.)
Ah, stupid Yanks don't know how to spell their own language!
