Fighting the War on Error

Another look: Freedom political vid

I haven't posted this one in a while, but it's worth another look, especially for those who might be considering voting for McCain, who in many ways would be Bush III. If/when you ever get that urge, take a look at this video, which was made by "Anonymous," according to the video. Whoever you are, Anonymous, you've got a talent.

Anyway, I always get inspired when I watch this. I hope Anonymous comes up with another version for the '08 election - same song, different images.

If any of you have some inspirational liberal videos you think are noteworthy, leave a comment, and if I like it, I'll post it. I'd like to make one of these, and if I ever find the time to learn Adobe Flash, I will. I own the software, but I haven't had the time to sit down and flat out learn it. Now that I think about it, that just shot to near the top of my "To Do" list this summer.

Be back later today, but check these great vids

We have a friend staying with us, so I haven't had much time to blog but I'll be back tonight. In the meantime, for your viewing pleasure - two of my favorite liberal political videos of all time. Enjoy!

It's been a little while since I posted this, so I figured it would be a good time to repost. I'll be back in a day or two with plenty to day - the world of politics, the War in Iraq and the Bush administration scandals never stops. Eminem and Bush bashing - ya gotta love it.

This is an oldie but a goodie from the 2006 election. It's one of the best produced political videos I've seen on the Web. George Michael's Freedom is a great song, and very apropos.

Worth another quick look - Freedom

It's been a while since I've posted this, so I thought I'd do it again. (I think the last time I put it up was the morning of election day last November.

With all that is going on and all the scandals that are rocking our nation's capitol these days, this video is still as apropos as ever. I still shake my head about Ned Lamont - I can't believe Joe Lieberman got reelected, especially considering his votes, behavior and remarks since beating Lamont last fall. Oh well, you can't win 'em all.

Enjoy it - I hope it motivates you a little bit to get a little more politically active if you aren't, or maybe even more if you already are. I strongly urge you to do something about all of the problems with our federal government. It's the primary reason I write on this blog, to try to affect even a *little* change.

To that end, I hope to be bringing you a lot more in the coming days. I've been hopelessly bogged down the last few evenings, and I won't get nearly as much up tonight as I'd like, but tomorrow evening is set aside for a great deal of writing. Much of it will be letter writing to members of Congress, and I will share the text of those letters on here, which you are free to use for your own letters that I hope you take a few minutes to write. That's why God (and Bill Gates) gave us copy/paste.

Freedom: An awesome video

This video just blew me away. It was sent to me by my friend Lisa, so I'm bringing it to you. It's from YouTube, and it's by "Anonymous," but it should be labeled "Genius."

I haven't seen any political video this poignant since President George W. Bush has been in office.

Of particular note in this video - images of maimed soldiers, flag-draped coffins and Abu Ghraib. I don't get any pleasure out of seeing any of these photos, but American citizens, before they "Support the Troops" and glorify war, should know the real cost of war (more specifically, SEE the toll of war). But, our government doesn't want you to see these images - it goes through great lengths to prevent pictures like these from reaching the American public - and that's flat out wrong. Right now, the only people who truly know the human cost of war are the friends and family of those killed in Iraq. We should all know what is being done in our name, as Americans. (Oh, and for the record, I know the ban on images of American coffins started under President Clinton, not Bush; and Clinton ought to be ashamed of himself. However, that doesn't absolve Bush of responsibility from continuing the practice.)

Above, some of our war dead, taking the form of the self-described "War-time President." To see a larger image of this pic, click Here.

Let me clarify what I mean. I'm not hoping for pictures of flag-draped coffins splashed across the front pages of every major newspaper and news magazine in America, but it's wrong that the military bans those pictures. But, if this senseless slaughter continues, maybe that is precisely what we need for the American people (and politicians) to wake up & realize that this war is wrong, and the whole premise for having started it was also false.

Just thought I'd share this video with you - I'm going to permanently put it on my blog down the right side, because I think it's that poignant. So, give it a watch, then watch it again to get the true feel of it. I think I've watched it about eight times since Lisa sent it to me.
