Great time waster: OJ's blood-soaked tome

I found what appears to be a copy of OJ Simpson's ill-fated book, If I Did It, online. You can download the PDF Here. If you're interested, I'd download it fast before the link is disabled.

It's not a book I'm particularly interested in reading, but I thought I'd pass the news on. I have a stack of about 20 books on my reading list that rate above this one, and dozens more on my bookshelf. But hey, it's free, so if reading this interests you, you're a few clicks away.

OJ loses dough from scummy book

So, OJ's acquittal won't be profitable after all.

Finally, just a sliver of justice.

A judge ordered today that rights to O.J. Simpson's ill-fated book, If I Did It, be sold at auction to help satisfy the civil judgment won by the Goldman family - meaning the book could find its way into stores.

It's good to see the family of the late Ron Goldman finally winning at least a small victory of sorts against Simpson, who has at times approached taunting the Goldman family for being a free man.

"The Goldmans were horrified as to the content, but the real horror was that Simpson was profiting," said David Cook, Goldman's lawyer, in a Reuters story. "O.J. is now on the block. On the right hand we get to sell the book, and on the left we get the money."

A civil court jury found Simpson liable for the 1997 deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman and ordered him to pay $33.5 million in damages to the Brown and Goldman families.

It still sucks that dirtball Simpson is free, but at least he can't lead an opulent lifestyle while avoiding the slammer. I'll go to my grave thinking OJ put two innocent people in their graves.
