A great comic strip for political aficionados: This Modern World
I've read a few This Modern World comic strips in the past, and I remembered them as pretty good, but I ran across Tom Tomorrow's blog today (he pens the comic strip), and it's biting, and right on the money. I love it ~ his strip is much like Doonesbury - it'll give you a laugh, but it's got a strong point of view, too.Anything that can make a strong political statement while simultaneously making you laugh is worthy of praise and recognition.
Here's a sample of his recent, ahem, bombs about the war and this administration. (Oldest first, the bottom two are so spot on, it's scary.

Tomorrow says a whole lot in six windows, doesn't he?
Some say that sarcasm is the lowest form of humor, but I have to disagree - Tomorrow has never made sarcasm so lovable. The above strip is perhaps his best example of slamming this administration's wiener in the door. This Modern World is has vaulted to the top of my must visit Websites every week. The new strip gets posted every Monday on Salon's Website (but you must be a subscriber) or on Tuesday at the Archive Page. For older strips dating back to 1991, go Here.
Okay, one more - this one is from just prior to the 2004 election. Seems as apropos as ever, doesn't it?
